Attendance
|
Attendance (12 times a year) is mandatory – on the occasion(s) that you cannot be present we ask that you notify us and organise for a work colleague, friend or associate to attend in your place ( this can be any business as long as there is no conflict with any other member within the group)– subs will be required to read out your own 60 second speech as well as their own . ** This may seem a little draconian, but it will ensure continuity of the group as well as maintaining your own presence even if you are not there – as you may know this system has been used successfully within BNI for many years – it works! |
| Standing Order |
Each member is required to set up a standing order for monthly fees prior to their first meeting. This ensures that monthly fees are paid whether you are personally present or not. Please be aware that if a standing order is not set up, you will be required to pay each month in the event of non attendance. Bank details are: HSBC sort code:40-01-29 Account 00015261 |
| Non- attendance | Three non-attendances in a row or five non- attendances within a 12 month period, without a substitute will result in the member concerned being asked to leave the group to make way for another member in his/her category |
| Exclusivity |
There will only be one business from each category represented at the meetings – however it is at the discretion of the membership committee to decide whether a conflict exists or not. |
| Committee | The Membership Committee consists of 5 members.They are Nigel Cutts, Claudine Delaine, Paul Flay, Chris Harris and Merran Sell. These members will vote on any matter at their discretion, such as a query about a new applicant’s membership application or whether a non compliant member is asked to leave. |
| 5 min presentation | Each member of the group will have an opportunity to give a 5 minute presentation on a rota basis – this is not mandatory of course , but it is a great opportunity for each member to present their business in more detail to all the other members. If you would prefer not to do a 5 minute slot then bring along samples or a display that will market your business instead. |
| Members' fees | Members' fees : Annual fee £90, monthly fee £20, visitors fee £25 payable in cash on the day. |
